I called Lauren for a lactation consult since I was having pain while breast feeding. I had already successfully breast fed my first child until he was 2 years old and thought that breast feeding my twins would therefore be easy. Boy was I wrong! I was having shooting pain and a very painful let down. Lauren came over to my house and was very professional and caring. She watched me breast feed my twins and saw that they were latched on good. She gave me some tips on getting a good latch every time. She then asked me questions regarding the pain; where it was, and asked me to describe it. Upon asking me, she informed me that I most likely had thrush. She also informed me that both my twins and I needed to be treated. I called my doctor and pediatrician to receive treatment. Neither wanted to prescribe the correct dosage and frequency of medication we needed. Lauren referred me to a family practice physician who gave me the same diagnosis, thrush. After a few days of Diflucan medication, I no longer had a painful let down and was feeling better. I don’t know what I would have done without her help. I would call Lauren again and refer her to anyone in need of breastfeeding help. She was an absolute lifesaver!

When Jameson came home from NICU I was still pumping every three hours on the dot and giving him my milk via bottle. We were having trouble getting a correct latch no matter how much we practiced.. And then Lauren helped us!! What. A. Difference. Not kidding at all within two weeks he was exclusively nursing. Goodbye pumping!!! Lauren is so gentle, educated, and supportive! It truly felt like she cared as if she was apart of our family! I can't say enough great things about our experience. I highly recommend her help if you are pregnant and planning on breastfeeding or if you're struggling with your breastfeeding journey.
